Legitimate criticism of AP should not diminish other credible AP work and the cost of it.

The wire service reports today that an AP cameraman, Aswan Ahmed Lutfallah, 35, was killed by insurgents in the northern city of Mosul, Iraq, and is survived by his wife, 6-year-old son, and an infant daughter.

The wire notes that Lutfallah is the third AP employee killed in the Iraq war and the 29th lost on assignments since the news cooperative was founded in 1846.

Where are the conservative media outlets like the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Times, The NY Post, etc. in reporting how swimmingly things are going in Iraq?

There have been 126 journalists and staff killed in Iraq making up all that bad news. Just today, an AP camerman was killed. And yet, sitting at your keyboard thousands of miles away from the war zone, you type away uninformed and oblivous to the irony of taking journalists to task for reporting from afar.

If the Iraq war wasn’t such a mess, I’d nominate you for best humor blog.
