A day after General Abizaid told the Senate and House Armed Services Committee to quit with their despair and doom regarding Iraq he told an audience at Harvard today that we, meaning the human race, need to come to terms with militant Islam. This ideology is the new Fascism and unless we do something to fight back we are in for another world war:
The top U.S. general in the Middle East said on Friday that if the world does not find a way to stem the rise of Islamic militancy, it will face a third world war.
Army Gen. John Abizaid compared the rise of militant ideologies, such as the force driving al Qaeda, to the rise of fascism in Europe in the 1920s and 1930s that set the stage for World War Two.
“If we don’t have guts enough to confront this ideology today, we’ll go through World War Three tomorrow,” Abizaid said in a speech titled “The Long War,” at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government in Cambridge, outside Boston.
If not stopped, Abizaid said extremists would be allowed to “gain an advantage, to gain a safe haven, to develop weapons of mass destruction, to develop a national place from which to operate. And I think that the dangers associated with that are just too great to comprehend.”
Abizaid said the world faces three major hurdles in stabilizing the Middle East region: Easing Arab-Israeli tensions, stemming the spread of militant extremism, and dealing with Iran, which Washington has accused of seeking to develop nuclear bombs.
“Where these three problems come together happens to come in a place known as Iraq,” said Abizaid, who earlier in the week warned Congress against seeking a timeline for withdrawing U.S. troops from the country that is wracked by insurgent and sectarian violence.
“The sacrifice that is necessary to stabilize Iraq, in my view, must be sustained in order for the region itself to become more resilient,” Abizaid said.
Meanwhile we have to fight a thousand Neville Chamberlains in our own Congress. They are willing to do anything to be at peace with the fanatics because hey, they’ve only hit us a few times. If we’re real nice maybe they will leave us alone.
We leave Iraq now and militant Islam will have a whole country in which to attack from.
Can the left really lack that much common sense to not see this? Al-Qaeda and their brethren have stated over and over again that their goal is to ensure that every living human being on the planet is Muslim. If your not, then it’s throat slicing time. So now we are fighting them on their own turf while we have not been attacked since 9/11.
We have been at war with these people for many years, it was only after 9/11 that the majority of people began to realize this. Now that we are taking the fight to them the left wants to run and hide.

Finally, the video you are going to see tonight is from all over the Middle East, people that are involved in many different conflicts. But there is one common thread: they all use religion to justify their hatred. And it all starts with one of most important weapons that they have in their arsenal: the weapon of propaganda.

BECK: Little Palestinian children have their eyes stolen by Israelis.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (through translator): My eyes, my eyes, I can’t see a thing. Why have you covered my eyes?
GRAPHIC: This land, and everything on it, belongs solely to us.
BECK: It’s one example of the extraordinarily hateful propaganda used by extremists in the Middle East.
This is the kind of thing that is shown to young children. They are indoctrinated at a very early age to fear and hate Israel. They are taught that killing the innocent is a good thing:
BECK: Brigitte Gabriel, she grew up in Lebanon, was a victim early on of radical Islam. She’s now a U.S. citizen and author of a new, best-selling book, “Because They Hate.” Brigitte, we were just talking here during that package about the school books that are not just happening in the Middle East, but what is being taught now in radicalized American Muslim schools.
BRIGITTE GABRIEL, AUTHOR: It is shocking what’s happening in schools all across the world, not only in America. The government of Saudi Arabia is printing books and establishing schools all around the world, over 25,000 schools established and funded by the Saudi government. And they are supplying the books to these schools. And some of these books that are taught in the Middle East, like we just watched, to teach children to hate and become suicide bombers, are being taught also in the United States of America. And I’m going to quote you some of the sample of the books.
This is a book from eighth-grade and ninth-grade books. This is called (speaking Arabic) for eighth grade, published 2001. This is page 43. “Jews and Christians cursed by Allah and turned into apes and pigs. Quoting (speaking Arabic) the Verse 60, the lesson explains that Jews and Christians have sinned by accepting polytheism and, therefore, incurred Allah’s wrath. To punish them, Allah had turned them into apes and pigs.” It’s unbelievable hatred education that is being taught to elementary-school children, secondary-school children. How do we expect to teach a child against such hatred against like people like you and me and expect him to grow up an 18-year-old and love us or respect us?
This is what we face in today’s world. This is the face of our enemy:
BECK: There’s also something in the books where it says that, until the Muslims; help me out here; until the Muslims fight the Jews and the Christians, the day of judgment cannot come, right?
GABRIEL: Exactly.
BECK: Which explains the whole Messianic kind of apocalyptic view of people like President Ahmadinejad in Iran.
GABRIEL: Exactly. And this is what the West needs to understand and realize about Islam. We are dealing with a radical ideology right now spreading all throughout the world with one goal, and that is the establishing of an Islamic caliphate throughout the world.
BECK: Wait, explain that, because most people don’t even know what that is.
GABRIEL: A caliphate is an Islamic government ruled by Sharia law where everybody has to obey and live under Islam. In Islam, there is no difference between the state and the religion. The religion is the state, and the state is the religion.
They have been at war with us for decades while we have just awoken from our slumber. Will we see this fight through? Or will we fold our hand and give up, as Pelosi and Murtha wishes?
At least this man understands that quitting is not an option:
Although the president is under pressure from the Democratic party to set out a plan for a withdrawal of troops from Iraq, he claimed the experience of Vietnam had convinced him of the need for patience. “One lesson is, is that we tend to want there to be instant success in the world, and the task in Iraq is going to take a while,” he said. “We’ll succeed unless we quit.”
Indeed.

A Spanish teacher at Smithfield-Selma Senior High School resigned this week after handing out an assignment that some students and parents said teaches hate.
Khalid Chahhou, who was in his first year of teaching in Johnston County, gave students a worksheet in which they were to translate words and find them within a word-search puzzle.
Some students started uncovering strange words in the process.
“There were words like ‘kill,’ then I saw it said ‘destroy America,’” Eric Herrera said.
As they read on, students found the puzzle contained a paragraph that contained the following phrases:
*”Sharon killed a lot of innocent people,” a possible reference to former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.
*”Palestine is not a terrorist group.”
*”Allah help destroy this body of evil making humanity miserable.”
