This is shocking:
While Minuteman civilian patrols are keeping an eye out for illegal border crossers, the U.S. Border Patrol is keeping an eye out for Minutemen — and telling the Mexican government where they are.
According to three documents on the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Relations Web site, the U.S. Border Patrol is to notify the Mexican government as to the location of Minutemen and other civilian border patrol groups when they participate in apprehending illegal immigrants — and if and when violence is used against border crossers.
A U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman confirmed the notification process, describing it as a standard procedure meant to reassure the Mexican government that migrants’ rights are being observed.
“It’s not a secret where the Minuteman volunteers are going to be,” Mario Martinez said Monday.
“This … simply makes two basic statements — that we will not allow any lawlessness of any type, and that if an alien is encountered by a Minuteman or arrested by the Minuteman, then we will allow that government to interview the person.”
Minuteman members were not so sanguine about the arrangement, however, saying that reporting their location to Mexican officials nullifies their effectiveness along the border and could endanger their lives.
“Now we know why it seemed like Mexican officials knew where we were all the time,” said Chris Simcox, founder of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps. “It’s unbelievable that our own government agency is sending intelligence to another country. They are sending intelligence to a nation where corruption runs rampant, and that could be getting into the hands of criminal cartels.
This is simply unbelievable. As a cop I would be the first to help these volunteers out any chance I could. But this, they are actually impeding their work to keep this Country safe. This sends the message to Mexico that we will do everything in our power to help you send us your poverty.
How about this:
Border Patrol agents interviewed by the Daily Bulletin said they have been asked to report to sector headquarters the location of all civilian volunteer groups, but to not file the groups’ names in reports if they spot illegal immigrants.
“Last year an internal memo notified all agents not to give credit to Minuteman volunteers or others who call in sightings of illegal aliens,” said one agent, who spoke on the condition he not be identified. “We were told to list it as a citizen call and leave it at that. Many times, we were told not to go out to Minuteman calls.”
WHAT! I would be hung and quartered if I tried to ignore calls for help but these guys are being told to ignore calls for service PLUS give no mention of the Minutemen when making arrests.
Unbelievable.
But some of us need to get a grip. Confederate Yankee believes this is what Bush should be impeached for:
Bush’s border policies? Those are what I consider impeachable offenses.
Come on! Please come to your senses. You may disagree with him but you want to give the Democrats this gift based on this information?

If Republicans would actually consider going along with the left in impeaching this President over this then they might as well turn the keys over to the left and get in line for your socialism card. Some people cannot see past 3 days in the future I tell you….complete ignorance.
We have been dealing with this immigration issue for much longer then 6 years, hell, it’s been a thorn in our side for decades. We knew what we were getting when we elected Bush and to now feign shock and indignation is just completely baffling.
It’s getting to the point where the far right is sounding just as loony as the far left. Already talking impeachment before any of the facts are in, before and investigation has even been started. All this based on one article.

Everybody assumes that this isn’t just more “bureaucratic” subversion on the behalf of interests that WANT our borders open and worse. I don’t like this anymore than anyone else, but I am not willing to hang this all on President Bush until I see some clear evidence of neglect or intent to subvert the Minutemen or dereliction of his sworn duty as President. I have absolutely no doubts that Bush wants to protect this country. But if he’s been blind to this new threat from within, I fault him for that. Every damn day I hear new accusations against our military and against those who want to protect this country and I am sick and tired of waiting for someone to do something about it. I sent a scalding letter to Dennis Hastert, demanding he do something. Quite frankly, I don’t know why I bother. Hastert has been going nuts too over the immigration “reform” bill. Sigh.
Sorry, but I too am extremely angry, and if any politicians think they are getting ANY money out of me they’ve got another thing coming. Build the GD wall, crack down hard on employers who knowingly hire illegals, forget the damn guest worker program, and realize that we are under seige…then we’ll talk about elections. Until then, congress and the rest of our fair government, bite me!!! That goes for Bush too if he doesn’t do something fast!!

I won’t presume to speak for one other person, but me, yep, I’d impeach him over this. This butts right up against treason in my book.
I used to love this president, voted for him twice. Now? Simply because he’s so bad, so odius on this issue I wouldn’t piss on him to put him out if he were on fire.
Don’t underestimate how upset people are on this issue.
