Perhaps if he/she had organised his/her thoughts better, he/she wouldn’t be so quick to support pre-meditated, “decisive” violence. Pre-meditated killing is – by definition – murder, no matter whether it is carried out by individuals or by institutions; on the street or on death row.

I do not support murder. It is a pity that wordsmith does, and worse still that he/she is callous enough to publically state this as his/her appetizer before breakfast!

He should die a most horrible death but instead he will live and get fatter on our tax dollars.

Isn’t amazing the stay of execution of that California deathrow inmate, last minute, because of our notion of trying to give killers a painless death? How does that fit the severity of the crime? He causes suffering, but he himself is not made to suffer. In some instances I do believe in mercy, in turning a cheek, in temperance…but in others, the pain should be in equal measure to the pain caused. That’s my opinion.

Amazing how much money we squander just to snuff out a waste of air. 20 years after a crime. Sometimes we have such an extreme notion of humanity and giving someone every benefit of the doubt because we are so hand-wringing over “what if we execute an innocent?” that it is cruelty to the innocents in our society. We are made to suffer, as a whole.

It’s the same morals we suffer from in our dealings in Iraq. We don’t know how to suffer casualties and losses without angst and guilt and second-guessing ourselves. In a way, it’s nice to know that we harbor so much compassion and humanity. But it is also what drives us to fail in taking action, decisively.

I hope Garcia dies a horrible death in prison, but unfortunately he’ll be hailed as a hero for killing a cop.
