Ethics! He has Clinton beat by a long shot when it comes to ethics, one of the most corrupt and vile administrations in history belongs to Clinton. The CIA desk jockey was only a rogue cia agent out to take down Bush, and got caught with her hand in the cookie jar. The fact the only crime that was committed was a staffer lying (cough Clinton cough) speaks volumes about this incident. It's not going no where, no matter how much you want it to. You mean the WMD's that left Iraq into Syria? You talking about those? Or how about the chemical weapons they DID find? What that law is about is kind of moot. But! Personally, I do not trust the responsibility of wiretapping to an administration that has no shred of wisdom or ethics. Valerie Plame, for example, or Chaney's constantly reiterating the lie about Iraq being involved in 9/11. Or that big unfortunate exaggeration about weapons of mass destruction (mushroom clouds...) These episodes show that this particular group could not resist for one second the idea of wiretapping their political enemies, and that is exactly why the law was written.
