Furthermore, the original mandate in OIF was the expulsion of Iraqi forces from Kuwait. That “Mission Accomplished” actually occurred — they didn’t just put up a dumb banner in those days, they actually did what they claimed. Nothing in that or any resolution that followed authorized the unseating of his government. Why don’t you speak to that? :lol_wp:

Callimachus, at Done with Mirrors, has a really depressing post about the fact that the MSM, recognizing what a good speech it was, utterly failed to make it available through the media. Instead, every MSM outlet either buried it (tne NY Times) or gave selective small quotations, followed immediately by lengthy Left criticisms. Those Americans who aren’t blog savvy, never got the real deal.
